This command copies (but does not remove) a selected segment of sound from the active window. This only works if a segment of sound has been selected. The copied segment will be placed on the program's clipboard so that it can be pasted elsewhere in the same or in another sound file.
The Copy command can also be activated by clicking on 
in the toolbar section. You can also use the Ctrl-C keyboard shortcut to copy.
