Use this to select the format presented by default when playing a list of files in the "Tools/Play a list of files" command and in what folder to look for them by default. If you select your most-frequently-used format and location here, you will have less navigation work to do when playing a whole bunch of files later. You can also select here whether the default will include playing only the beginning of files, and how many seconds should be played.
