Xentec is located in Belgium, which has many
advantages
Central
All of Europe is easily accessible by car, train or plane. Day trips abroad are
readily feasible.
Neutral
None of the big countries (UK, France, Germany) are considered "neutral" for
obvious historical reasons.
Belgium seems to be everybody's acceptable second choice for a HQ location. Nobody
seems to agree on a first choice.
Multilingual
English, French, Dutch, German is spoken fluently by many Belgians. Some speak or
understand another language.
In the EU
Your HQ should be within the European Union's open market for obvious operational
(customs) purposes.
Brussels is the de facto heart of Europe, the place to be in the 21st century. It is
also where successful multinationals have their headquarters.
Skilled employees
Over 60% of Belgium's GNP is export, as a result it is easier to find local employees
with international sales skills here than anywhere else. Technical schooling is
excellent. Belgians work hard.
Cost
The cost of running a headquarter operation in Brussels is reasonable when compared to
expensive cities like London, Paris, or Geneva.
